The sun set behind the iconic New York skyline while Gabriela and Michael swore their love to each other in front of their closest friends and family.
Ice cream, tacos, matching sneakers, a tequila toast after the ceremony and a magical sunset all made this Cinco de Mayo elopement pretty special.
Their original wedding plans were cancelled due to covid, and after three years of waiting to call each other husband and wife, Gabriela and Michael had had enough and decided to elope. Their nearest and dearest gathered with them right on the DUMBO waterfront, and then Gabriela and Michael were married in a touching and hilarious ceremony by the groom’s cousin (who had gotten ordained just for them) with the bride’s grandma stepping in as ring bearer.
Gabriela found me through a TikTok I shared of another elopement couple who stopped for hot dogs in the middle of their day, and immediately knew thats what she wanted for her elopement. Fun photos that she could look at in 20 years and remember how crazy and joyful this day was. The number one priority was making sure we stopped at a food truck, and though the hot dog cart was sadly missing, we started our time together with some classic New York soft serve, and made sure to get some Tacos before they went off to celebrate with their friends at a nearby club.
