Colorful fall foliage made this Halloween weekend wedding magical
Nadine and Michael had a small legal ceremony during the pandemic lockdowns, but when the world started to open in 2022 they knew it was time to invite their nearest and dearest to Connecticut in late October to celebrate them as they sealed their bond in a religious ceremony at the Hopps Company in
They wanted to save the first look for the ceremony, so instead Nadine opted for a first look with her father and had her bridesmaids hide her from any prying eyes with their shawls once they arrived at the venue.
They shared a touching ceremony in front of colorful fall foliage, complete with vows Michael wrote for Nadine and lots of laughter and tears. They choose to leave two rows of seats open for their family who had passed to have a place to watch the ceremony as well.
At the reception, Michael made everyone cry when he asked his mother in law to dance with him – as he had recently lost his mother and she had lost her son years previously. After their guests dried their eyes and Nadine changed into her new bridal converse sneakers, they partied the night away with pizza and a dessert bar I’m still dreaming of ending the night with a classic sparkler exit.
Nadine also prepared one of my newest favorite things for her bridal detail photos. When she had her dress altered, she saved some of the excess fabric for me to incorporate into the flat lay and images of the shoes! Now I’m recommending every bride do this as you can see below how it transformed the hotel room couch I laid everything out on.
